Kwartzspace Makerspace Grand Garage Sale 

Kwartzlab Makerspace, 145 Bedford Rd

Sun Aug. 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This community event features a grand garage sale with housewares, electronics, and tools. There will also be a clothing swap where you can trade in gently-worn clothes for new ones, purchase original handcrafted Kwartzlab items, and go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Kwartzlab. 

Admission is free. 

Summer Funday Community Picnic 

Laurel Creek Conservation Area, 625 Westmount Rd N 

Sun Aug. 20, 1 to 6 p.m.

This fun-filled summer event celebrates Black joy and African culture. It includes food and activities such as swimming, games, and outdoor adventures.

Jazz Concert 

Rockway Gardens, 11 Floral Crescent 

Sun Aug. 20, 7 p.m. 

As part of their summer concert series, Rockway Gardens will be presenting the Paul Mitchell jazz group. Bring water, snacks, and a lawn chair (if it rains, the concert will move inside). 

Admission is free. Donations for the Kitchener Horticultural Society are welcome.
