Math Coffee and Donut (CnD) Shop

Located on the third floor of MC, Math CnD is a great go-to for far more than just coffee and donuts. They have fresh patties and samosas, soups, sandwiches, sushi, and daily specials that are filling, affordable, and worth a try.

Hakka Wok

Located in DC Bytes, Hakka Wok carries fresh food items like crispy noodles, pad thai, stir-fry, wonton soup, and butter chicken. Their chickpea-based chana masala and matar paneer are also delicious options for plant-based students.

Quesada 

Located in the SLC food court Brubakers, Quesada is the perfect place to grab a burrito, burrito bowl, quesadillas, tacos, or nachos. I’d specifically recommend the burrito bowls: they’re filling, packed with flavour, and come with a wide range of protein options, veggies, and sauces.

Teriyaki Experience 

Also located in the SLC Food Court, Teriyaki Experience carries a wide range of options including chicken and beef teriyaki, protein bowls, bento boxes, soups, spring rolls, and gyoza dumplings. Their meals are calorie-rich and colourful, and a surefire way to guarantee your protein and veggie intake.

Funcken Café 

Located at St. Jerome’s University, the Funcken Café offers plenty of quality, ethically-sourced options. They serve coffee, bagels, sandwiches, pastries, and baked goods of all kinds. It’s a cozy spot with wide, comfy couches and a fireplace that adds a lot of ambience — perfect in the fall.

Ev3rgreen Café 

Located on the ground floor of Environment 3, the Ev3rgreen Café offers bagels, panini sandwiches, pastries, sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, and smoothies. You should specifically try their soup served with focaccia bread.

ML’s Diner

Located in the basement of ML is ML’s Diner, every breakfast lover’s dream. With all-day breakfast options like hash browns, pancakes, club sandwiches, milkshakes, fries, as well as a build-your-own burger option, this diner will satisfy all your comfort food cravings.

Conrad Grebel’s Kitchen

Conrad Grebel’s kitchen is filled with hearty, freshly-made meals from mac and cheese to chili. You can browse through their self-serve entrée, dessert, and beverage options before hitting the salad bar. They’re also another great option for plant-based students and every day, they have at least one meat-free option. Their weekly menu is available on the Dining at Grebel section of the Conrad Grebel website.

The WUSA Food Support Service 

The WUSA Food Support Service (FSS) is a student-run program that offers free food and hygiene hampers which contain various necessities (for example, the hygiene hamper may include soaps, shampoos, and razors) to UW community members experiencing food insecurity, as well as confidential assistance. As a student, you can access up to four food hampers and one hygiene hamper per month. Generic meat, vegetarian, halal, and kosher hampers, as well as hygiene hampers, are available for pick-up at the Turkey Desk in the SLC — all you need to bring is your WatCard. To receive a food hamper geared to specific dietary restrictions and allergens, fill out the Hamper Request Form on the WUSA website.
